Hospitality Scheme – Eat Out to Help Out
Did you ever think you’d get paid to eat out in a restaurant? Maybe you dreamed it, but now you can live it, thanks to our favourite Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who last month announced the grand voucher scheme to save the hospitality industry which has been brought to its knees.
The scheme grants a 50% discount on all food and soft drinks at participating restaurants, pubs and cafes, up to a total of £10 per head on Mondays – Wednesdays, all throughout August.
More than 72,000 establishments are taking part in this unique scheme, including high-end Notting Hill brasseries to Mayfair’s Michelin stars, such as seafood specialists Scott’s to the likes of Julie’s.
If you’re feeling a little blue about the vacation you’ve had to cancel to visit those gorgeous Italian vineyards, then why not venture down to London Bridge for a dose of authentic Italian food with an unconventional cocktail at Tavolino Bar & Kitchen, offering unparalleled scenic views of the Tower Bridge. Although client Tavolino only recently opened, Louis Korovilas, former head chef of Bancone, is keen for Londonders to get a taste of his fine cooking once again by also participating in Rishi Sunaks ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme.
For those who have moved back home and away from the city life for now, there are many restaurants around London that have also signed up to this marvellous and helpful campaign. Tarshish, a restaurant that brings you a fusion of Turkish and Mediterranean food, with beautiful and modern chic surroundings, is one of them, serving all those fine dining lovers in North London.
With 10 more days to go, will you be making the most of these juicy discounts? To check if your neighbourhood restaurants are participating, simply use the postcode checker which provides all the information within a 5 mile radius.
If you’re still a little sceptical about stepping out, fret not. With almost every food and beverage brand now relying on home delivery during the lockdown, you are spoilt for choice. Especially when fresh fish and seafood delivery brands like Fish To Your Door have their own parallel campaigns running, ‘Stay Home Save Cash’ to entice customers to eat at home with their generous discount offerings, why would you venture out?
Whichever you are, either the venturer or the stay home for comfort, there are numerous ways for you to enjoy the month of August during lockdown!
